What is AIVU, and why does it matter?
AIVU is Apple Immersive Video — Apple's container format for immersive content, designed for Apple Vision Pro. Native AIVU export means your file plays back with proper projection, stereoscopic configuration, and metadata, with no conversion steps required for the viewer.
How is MV Converter different from generic video converters?
Generic converters treat video as flat frames. MV Converter understands stereoscopic topology, projection geometry, APMP metadata, and Vision Pro playback requirements. It's the difference between a video file and an immersive experience.
Which Mac hardware do you support?
MV Converter is a native Apple silicon app and requires macOS 26 Tahoe. Tahoe is the only supported macOS version — earlier versions are not supported because MV Converter is built on the Liquid Glass and Apple Immersive Video frameworks introduced in Tahoe.
Can I use the free version commercially?
Yes. The free version has no commercial restrictions — the only limitation is that output videos are capped at 20 seconds. Premium removes that cap. Everything else is identical between Free and Premium.
Does MV Converter touch my original files?
Never. Source files are read-only inputs. Every export is written to a new destination you choose, leaving your masters untouched.
Will my Canon R5C / Insta360 / [camera] footage work?
We've tested across iPhone Spatial mode, Canon R5C, Insta360 Pro 2, Ricoh Theta, GoPro, Vuze XR, Kandao Obsidian, Z CAM K2 Pro, and many more. If your camera shoots any flavor of stereoscopic 3D, MV Converter can handle it.
How do I subscribe and manage Premium?
Premium is an in-app yearly subscription. You can subscribe, view your access, and cancel any time from inside MV Converter or from your Apple ID subscription settings.
