Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MV Converter application ("Application", "App") and the mvconverter.app website ("Website"), both operated by Morin Innovation ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Mac App Store usage rules. MV Converter requires macOS 26 Tahoe and is not supported on earlier macOS versions.

2. Free and Premium versions

MV Converter is available as a free download with access to every feature the App offers. The free version applies a single limitation: converted videos are capped at 20 seconds of output duration.

The optional Premium yearly subscription, purchased through Apple's in-app purchase, removes the 20-second output cap. No other feature is gated behind Premium.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; (b) use the App to process content for which you do not hold appropriate rights; (c) attempt to circumvent the free-tier limitation.

4. Intellectual property

The App, the Website, all source code, design, and trademarks are owned by Morin Innovation and are protected by international copyright laws. Apple, Apple Vision Pro, macOS, MV-HEVC, AIVU (Apple Immersive Video), and APMP are trademarks of Apple Inc.

5. Content

You retain all rights to the video content you process with MV Converter. The App processes your files locally on your Mac and does not upload your content to any server.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Morin Innovation shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the Website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
